Okay, this started out as a joke posted on my FB Page by my friends (and sometime Beta Readers), Kit and Michelle. It read as follows:
“Kit and I think that this would be a great “what-not-to-do” piece for Music Mondays <nudge, wink, just kidding : ) >”
I’m curious, so I click. And I find this really, really goofy video, The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?). It has to be a joke. They can’t be serious?
And get this, it has over 121 million views! Yep, not 121 views, 121 million.
The video was so ridiculous I just couldn’t use it. Although, I had two glasses of wine so I did giggle a lot. However, I am a writer. I wasn’t going to entertain such silliness.
This morning I sat down at my computer, devoid of inspiration. I was going to go running, which always helps, but we just said good-bye to our exchange student and my husband snored last night. I was tapped, exhausted. In fact, I went back to bed. (I think I’m fighting a cold, and I am not fighting it well. Hmmm, there’s an inane pun in there somewhere.)
Where was I?
Right, needed inspiration. I checked out the iTunes Top 200. Hold on to your hats, folks. The Fox is #7. It seems clear that the universe is trying to send me a message. I am a writer and I totally entertain this kind of silliness. (Either that or we are nearing the Fall of Western Civilization.)
