I started this blog with the idea I would put up a Musical Monday just because I liked the song- no deeper tie-in. Of course, the whole reason I like the song in question is the tie-in to my own philosophy on life… so… I guess that would make it a semi-deep tie-in?
This week’s song is “Try” by Pink. I just like it. Catchy, a little poignant, good tune. Often I have another message that goes a long with the song, some point political, religious, current events that I am trying to make when I choose these songs. I picked this one just because I like it. Although it’s about a love affair gone wrong (hardly original), the refrain, “you gotta get up and try” is a wonderful way to approach everything in life.
That is how I live. At least, I try.
